Safety Advisors at Health Fair:
November 2 and 3: WSU Food Safety Advisor
will have a booth at the “Health and Wellness Expo”
at the Ag Trade Center in Colville. Be sure to visit their booth
and ask them questions about food preservation. Bonnie Stichart,
WSU Food safety advisor is scheduled to talk about pressure canning
and food preservation. Check the Health and Wellness Expo schedule
for lecture times.

Food
$ense:
The WSU Food $ense program provides nutrition education to audiences
by forming partnerships with eligible agencies. Program delivery
begins in early January in Columbia, Mary Walker, Evergreen, and
Summit Valley School Districts. Programs are currently underway
in Wellpinit and Northport.

your school district is interested in adding Food $ense programming
contact Jeanette Cornwall at 684-2588 or jcornwall@wsu.edu.
Budget preparation for programs beginning in fall 2007 must be
finalized by April 15, 2007.
Children
Cope with Divorce: This 4-hour class mandated
for parents who are divorcing, separating, or who are involved
in custody or other domestic relations legal actions involving
their children. The class advocates for children. It is educational,
not counseling, therapy, or ministry. For more information see
