State-Qualifying
Dairy Judging
Dairy
project members mark your calendars now for the Larry
Porter Memorial Dairy Judging Contest on May
17. The contest begins at 10 a.m. at the Durrenton Ranch
in Deer Park. Lunch will be provided. For more information contact

Horse
Clipping Demonstration and State-Qualifying Horse Judging Contest
Paula Gormon
will offer a horse clipping demonstration on May 17 at
the NE WA Fairgrounds. It begins at 10:30 a.m. Following the demonstration
a State-Qualifying Horse Judging Contest will be held. All horse
project members and leaders are encouraged to attend this event.

Large
Animal Showmanship Clinic
Haynickers II 4-H club is sponsoring a showmanship clinic for
sheep, beef, and swine on May 18 from 1-4 p.m.
at the NE WA Fairgrounds. Russ Camp will be the featured clinician.
This will also be a weigh-in opportunity for beef project members
with halter broke steers that plan to participate in the NE WA
Fair Market Systems Class. Swine and sheep weigh-in will be scheduled
later.
4-H
Enrollment Deadline
Don't forget May 31 is the last day to enroll
in 4-H or to add 4-H project to be eligible to show at the NE
WA Fair in August.
Fishing
Derby
Get those fishing poles ready! The annual 4-H Fishing Derby is
set for June 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Camp
Princess Pine. Open to all youth 16 years of age and younger.
